Due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic the team at Myaree Medical Centre advises that all patients who have any of the following symptoms:
– Sore throat
– Shortness of breath
– Runny or blocked nose
– Sudden loss of taste or smell;
Will need to book a telehealth (phone or video) consult. This can be done online, or by calling the surgery and explaining the situation to our staff. This is required even if government agencies such as Health Direct have advised you to see your GP. We can then arrange a face-to-face appointment if deemed necessary by the doctor.
Currently we are bulk-billing all telephone consults and will continue to do so until September 2020. Telephone consults are available to all patients, due to this we are booking all prescription and referral renewals as phone consults. There are obviously situations where we will need to see you but we will endeavour to do as much as we can by telephone. Please note if the doctor determines that you need to be seen face-to-face that normal consult fees will apply.
