Our Staff & Team

At Myaree Medical Centre we have experienced staff who are keen to provide you with a high quality service. Our staff include:

Dr Dale Allen

M.B.  F.R.A.C.G.P.

Dr Allen is an experienced GP with interests in all aspects of general medicine, surgical skin procedures, Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

He has been practicing at Myaree Medical Centre since its inception and works on a full time basis.

Dr Paul Cook

M.B.B.S.  R.A.C.O.G.  F.R.A.C.G.P. Dip. Obst. Dip. Sport Medicine

Dr Cook is also very experienced in general practice having worked in the field for over 30 years. He has special interests in sports medicine and skin cancer diagnosis.

Paul is available Monday to Wednesday.

Dr Brodie Thorpe

M.B.B.S. (Hon)

Dr Thorpe joins us from a busy South of the River practice. She has interests in Women’s health, Children’s health and Sexual and Reproductive Health.

This includes doing procedures such as Mirena and Implanon insertion and removal and Iron infusions.

She is available from Monday to Friday.

Practice Manager & Reception

Julia Barton manages the front desk and is available to answer any enquiries’ related to appointments, billing or general administration.

Jan, Toni and Nancy are our receptionists, each working on a part-time basis.

Practice Nurses

Amanda Rick is a registered nurse with experience in general practice nursing.

She is available for immunisations, over 75 year old health checks, 45-49 year old health checks, care plans, general nursing care, including instruction for asthmatics on the use of devices and advice for diabetics.

She is on duty Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm.

GP Registrars

Myaree Medical Centre has recently been accredited as a training practice for basic and advanced general practice registrars. Registrars are qualified doctors who have completed their hospital training and are working, under supervision, while continuing to study and prepare for their fellowship examinations. They are enthusiastic and very motivated to provide a thorough and comprehensive service, thereby utilising the knowledge and skills they have learned.
